Hermitage House's newest program, S.T.A.N.D., began in February of 2001. As an organized program, S.T.A.N.D. has evolved from the spiritual opportunities that H.H.Y.S. has always offered to its youth.
The current program was begun by Pastor Steve Crowl who says that this program is for those who are searching for a new direction and a new way of life.
Programs include, two Chapel Services every Sunday morning, 9:00am at the Hermitage House Shelter and 11:00am at the Hermitage House Main Campus.
Youth Group every Monday night for clients living at our Main Campus and South Campus.
Youth Group every Tuesday afternoon for our shelter clients.
Boy's Bible Study, every Wednesday evening at Main Campus.
S.T.A.N.D. has had a positive effect in teaching the youth about treating others with respect, forgiving others, and how to become better individuals.
Participants have commented that, "It's a very upbeat way to teach us about the Bible and about Jesus," and it provides a "different look on life."
The rapid growth in youth attendance attests to the popularity of the S.T.A.N.D. Program.
