HHYS KEY CLUB

Hermitage House students experience ongoing service education through Key Club International. The students select, plan, and coordinate the projects while serving as chair, secretary, treasurer, editor, and commitee members. Some of the recent projects have been:

  • Fleece Blankets (for Military and for Children in foster care)

  • Neck Coolers (for Military serving in the desert)

  • Christmas Collections for The Salvation Army and for Operation Christmas Child

  • March for Life fundraisers for Boro Women's Services and for Blood for Life

Our club is chartered through the Kiwanis Club of Edinboro. Here's a quote from the Kiwanis Newsletter about the Hermitage House Key Club:

"The Key Club at Hermitage House Youth Services is, by far, one of the most productive of its kind. The young adults there initiate and participate in many projects each year, including making fleece blankets for servicemen overseas, collecting and recycling newspapers and telephone books, and participating in all of the projects of the Kiwanis Club . . . to name just a few."
